Dockside Group is committed to playing a role in achieving a sustainable future by promoting responsible business practices and seeking to minimise their impact on the environment.
Throughout their history, Dockside Group has always been dedicated to reducing paper usage and energy usage consistently focused on efficiently monitoring the generation of waste. The company has also maintained a successful recycling policy and always comply with environmental legislation and regulations.
.

For the past few years Dockside Group’s venues and restaurants have been involved in OzHarvest. OzHarvest rescues excess food from our venues and restaurants which would otherwise be discarded. This excess food is distributed to charities supporting the vulnerable and homeless in Sydney. OzHarvest believes that good food should not go to waste. In fact, by distributing it to those in need, they turn excess food into a resource and save thousands of kilograms of food from being dumped as landfill each year. On average, every kilogram of food that OzHarvest rescues will avoid 2 kg of greenhouse (kg CO2-eq) emissions and avoid the consumption of 143 litres of water.
.
Dockside Group is currently embarking on taking another step forward in minimising our carbon footprint. Dockside Group is partnering with Climate Friendly to offset our greenhouse gas emissions and support the development of clean energy.

The carbon credits will support the Siam Cement biomass fuel switching project in Thailand. This sustainable project uses waste plant materials to generate electricity, and also funds local community projects such as a mobile health clinic in regional Thailand.
Speak to a Dockside Group sales representative if you wish to purchase Climate Friendly’s carbon offset in support of this project.
