Chinese New Year, The Year of the Dragon was celebrated throughout Sydney in early February leading to the pinnacle of the celebrations, the traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Racing spectacle in Cockle Bay on February 5 and 6. While most Sydney-siders flocked to the shores of Cockle Bay to watch the colourful event, some lucky and distinguished guests viewed the races from the luxury of L’Aqua, the base for the corporate dragon boat team and host to the top clients.
L’Aqua, which boasts premier views over the sparkling water of Cockle Bay was the ideal location for the festivities, offering prime views of the boat races throughout the day. Guests indulged in an array of L’Aqua’s signature modern Australian cuisine infused with traditional Chinese delicacies.
Organised by The Events Authority, the event was decorated lavishly with red Chinese lanterns and bamboo which blended well with the Chinese Dragon dancers who performed throughout the afternoon.
