10 Edible Wedding Favours Your Guests Won't Leave Behind

Wednesday 13th Jul 2016
I don’t know about you guys but the cold weather makes me hungry. I’ve been craving delicious treats for the last month or so – which got me thinking about the delicious treats we’re sometimes lucky enough to receive as take home gifts from weddings.

My stomach and I always do a little jump for joy when we see an edible wedding favour and it is an element from the wedding I’ll usually remember. So, to help you make a lasting impression on your guests, we’ve listed our top 10 edible wedding bonbonniere options

1. Doughnuts

Homer Simpson isn’t the only one obsessed with doughnuts anymore – This new trend is all the craze at the moment and we’re loving it! With so many varieties of flavours, icing and fillings, there’s sure to be something to please everyone’s sweet tooths!

2. Macarons

An old favourite, many Brides and Grooms opt to give macarons as their wedding favours because they are cost effective, pretty (and delicious) and look great presented in a clear box with a cute tag or ribbon.

3. Jam or honey

Spread the love! Jars of jam or honey are great little gifts because they’re sweet and have a long shelf life, allowing your guests to indulge in your wedding favour on more than one occasion.

4. Chocolates

Hello, who doesn’t love chocolate? Give your guests a wedding favour which not only tastes delicious, but looks beautiful too. Our friends at Winnow Chocolates specialise in artisan chocolates; think colourful, gold leaf or fruity chocolate brittle combinations.

5. Olive Oil

You can never have enough olive oil! These little favours are great for a Mediterranean themed wedding

6. Cookies

What’s better than cookies? Pretty personalised cookies!

7. Cupcakes

Let them eat cake! Your guests have been wined and dined and probably already had a piece of wedding cake, but who says there isn’t room for more? There’s ALWAYS room for more cake.
CUTE IDEA: Get these personalised with your guests names and double them as place names!

8. Toffee Apples

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, although I’m not entirely sure this rule also applies to toffee apples. Either way, we love these sweet little treats and with cute packaging are the perfect take home gift.

9. Popcorn

“Thanks for popping by” – If that isn’t the cutest little tag to put on a jar of popcorn, we don’t know what is!

10. Tea

Technically not edible, but this cold weather has made us all in the Dockside Group office tea CRAZY! With a huge range of flavours and blends, package these up nicely and present them to your guests; we love the idea of pairing the tea with a cute teacup!
